Memory Stick help... possibly fake....

I bought a 2 GB Sandisk Memory stick from eBay (now regretting it)

I've tried everything I can think of, but I can't transfer anything to it (error: Memoy stick could not be accessed)

I can't copy anything from the pc to it (the moving bar in USB mode just keeps on moving)

I can't format (error:Format Failed(80220089))

And it shows that there's 1939MB and theres always a flashing amber light.

Any suggestions?

You're unable to format the card from windows, not just on the psp?

It doesn't sound good I must say.

When I try to format or access it from windows it says

Type "fake memory" or "fake Memory sticks ebay" in google, there are alot of articles telling you how to tell if they are fake.

I had a fake 2gig MS from ebay. I had no problems with it at all. Speed was a little on the slow side but it has worked flawlessly for over a year. Cost me half what a real one would have.

I've bought like 7 2gb from eBay for various family members and never yet got a fake. Touch wood.

From a chop called buymemorycards
they have all types and like 60000 feedback

Phantom Packet on eBay has red-hot feedback and you can get a genuine Sony 2GB MS for like £18 inc P&P

I got two off ebay, one was from a power seller with hidden feedback, I should have known better..
That was a fake.
but the second one I got was awesome..
just have to shop around...

I buy mine from digispace2008 (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/DigiSpace2008) on ebay...

...the only time I did'nt use digispace2008 and went elsewhere I got a 4GB FAKE, which ended up working better in my K750i rather than my PSP which is'nt too bad cause I have 4GB in my phone http://forums.quakenet.org/images/smiley_icons/tongue.gif

well i got all of my 2gb cards from amazon, ranging between 15 and 25 pounds inc p+p, they look real, have all the things in the right places and dont come up fake on the ebay guide, but when i use them on devhooked 3.02 it says they are "unknown" for magic gate support, so im sure they are fake, just damn good ones.

thats what i have been told to... if you go on any of the items on the xmb of the psp and go on infomation if it says magic gate the memory stick is supposed to be fake but lol aslong as they work thats what matters :thumbup:
