Hi folks, my first post to these boards.

New to DS, new to handhelds in general. I'm mostly PC gamer, but recently i got seriously bored of cr@p games on PC, so decided to buy into handheld market...

Now i'm also a proud owner of M3 lite + passcard3. Well not just yet - ordered yesterday. Also Kingston 1GB microDS with MiniDS adapter and USB2 pendrive/reader.

So, point a finger at the place where i can get howto's about stuffing SD cards with GBA/NDS/HB goodness.

Also info on traditional RPGs would be appreciated. What else is there apart from FF series ?

Thanks.

Well for tutorials try searching google. And if you are looking for the actual homebrew software, try here (http://nintendo-ds.dcemu.co.uk/) also try to refrain from rom talk

I HATE google. You know why ?

Dont get me wrong, but answers like "google it up" to questions i ask annoys the heck out of me. I want answers, not "googling". I ask people in specialized boards specialised questions, so i expect knowledgeable people to give me specific answers. If you only know "google it up", then you're of no help to anybody here at all.

See, what you made me do ? :D

Plus, i know how/where to get roms, i dont discuss it here. All i want to know is are there any decent titles to BUY (if you like)...

Political correctness...bah

Hm interesting. I go to hospital to get advice and treatment if needed. I dont get "go first google it up" from the doctor, that i expect to know the answer. Is that an attitude ?

I like to interact with people. When google will be able to answer a proper question properly, then, maybe. But now you have to do a lot of filtering by hand to get to the things you need. And that if you dont really know what you're looking for ? I'm new to DS in general, so, how do i know homebrew if i barely know the system ? Thats why i ask questions here - where are people "in the know"...

So, back to topic - any A's to my Q's ?

I agree with dejkirkby if you want answer you have to be polite

Show me, where am i inpolite in my original post ? I asked a question. I expect an answer. Or counter-question for more info. Or silence.

Worst thing about this situation is its employed all over the net. I know what google is. I know how to use it. But if i know a certain place to get certain people to answer my specific questions i dont expect to get slapped with "google it"...

Ack. just drop it. No point in arguing over this and i'm not here to troll.

Where-oh-where the fidonet and netmail community feel and kind support go...

I'm probably getting too old for this......

@abeisgreat: Thanks, i followed your link and found some usefull stuff. Dont take my anti-google rants too serious, its just that i hate the rising tendency to send all questions google's way, when you can get questions from people in the know. Its an easy way to get some one of your back, i know. I try not to do that, so, i probably expect the same from others. I apologize if i insulted anyone here...

I dont hate google per se. I hate when it is shoved at me to get my problems solved. In this regard Google destroys community sense. No one is helping noone anymore, "because there is google - all knowing god of all". 'Cept it doesnt know meaning of life. And its not 42. :D

I am a geek and I believe the answer is 42.

Well first of when you join a website or forum you should read the rules first before making any posts. If you would have done that from the beginning you would have known that there is no Roms discussions in this site.:D answer 69

I believe i never mentioned roms. In fact you did. So, i never broke any rules.

Btw, do you know why "meaning of life" is "42", and not 69 (whatever you meant by that ? :D )? No ? Well, i suggest you google it up...

Thanks.

You say GBA/NDS/HB which implies gba and nds roms and homebrew seperate. So it could be interpreted that you spoke of roms.

THIS POST IS HILARIOUS!

sorry... as i read through it i just couldn't help from laughing. anyways, we should just give the poor guy an answer.

to get HOMEBREW "goodness", go here: http://nintendo-ds.dcemu.co.uk/

i think abeisgreat already posted that. anyways, you can also go to http://www.ndshb.com for more homebrew stuff. there is also

http://www.m3-forum.com

a great place to find nifty stuff to put on your m3.

agument settled!

i know that this topic is somewhat old, but i HAD to post... just because...

Because you're the most unhelpful person in the world?

Mental2k
February 15th, 2007, 22:55
Abeisgreat wasnt unhelpful. Anything that even hints at illegality is, and alwas has been, replied to at DCEmu with a variation on the simple phrase, "google it" Piracy kills the homebrew scene. Plus why waste people's time when a simple search on google will reveal no end of answers!
