i just downloaded some downgrader files from the sticky for the downdater 2.5 and 2.6.really excited but when i tried to unzip it says enter password for the encrypted file 1.50 helper\downhelper\eboot.pbp can anyone give me the pass or help please??????????:confused:

the password is in the downgrader thread..

Also you better know what your doing because the downgrader could brick your psp if you don't do it correctly.

I belive the password is

no there are various ways you could brick your psp for example, you are using the downgrader and you use the 2.5 downgrader for a 2.6 psp. When you run it your psp will brick.

Also lets say you dont have the charger in your psp while you downgrade,......brick!

Flashing your firmware always runs the possibility of bricking your psp

ok thaks for that i was going to try to do mine and ny bros he has a factory original 2.5 and i have a factory orig 2.6, wat are the best files for me to use????? thanks

hi all any one tested the files for downgrading on the Sticky thread : DCemu's PSP Guide Library V2~Last updated July 20th ive downloaded the 2.5 and 2.6 files i wanna use them on my factory 2.5 and 2.6 has any one tried these??? or would you recommend????

I would try the easy 2.5/2.6 easy downgrader

hmm...... i don't think the downgrader will work on a factory 2.5 or factory 2.6 psp. I could be wrong on this but you could be walking into a brick. My psp was factory 2.0 when i got it and i upgraded to 2.6 then when the downgrader finally came out i downgraded successfully.

personally id say use the 2.71 downgrader, that way its dead simple.just upgrade to 2.71 then downgrade to 1.5, was safe for me every time ive run it so far.

just go to dax.lan.st. Go to the bottom where all the files are. You should see a 2.71 flasher. that will help downgrade a 2.71 psp.

hi all ive the upgrade file to upgrade to 2.71 how do i actually install that file and do the upgrade any step by step help??? (i am a novice at this !!!!)

i wood use the easy downgrader located on this site, i used that and it worked fine for me.

To update just create a folder Called UPDATE in the game folder so

X://PSP/GAME/UPDATE/Place your PBP eboot here

And X is the drive letter

hi guys ive put all my update stuff in the mem card just double checking when it says Get the EBOOT.PBP of the update you want to install, and copy it with the name of "UPDATE.PBP" to
/PSP/GAME/UPDATE does that mean just change the name eboot.pbp to update.pbp? from the updateflasher, and then it says run program,
how do i run the program??

GUYS WHAT IS THE XMB AND HOW DO I Go to the PHOTO viewer of the XMB????

The XMB is the menu that shos you memory stick space

To go to the PHOTO viewer just go to the photo place on your PSP

The place were you view your files

hi guys need some help now ive tried 3 diff ways to upgrade but does not seem to work.

1. i tried the 2.71 se upgrade where you have to create the dxar file i got as far as putting the files on the mem card ran the update maker it loads it runs for about 30 secs, then just turns the psp off. restart it and theres no dxar file everythings the same!!!

2.tried the upgrade flash from dark alex site put the 2.71 update flash(renamed)in the update folder installed to the mem card.go to mem card and run the update prog through games/mem stick it goes to the load screen and then just THE GAME COULD NOT BE LOADED

3.tried the other way where you go in to the xmb photo viewer and click on the folder "henc" all that happens there is red screen and freezes ive left it for up 2 20 mins

the only way i havent tried is the gta disc method as i dont have the game!

basically HHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPP!!!!!!

Put your 2.71 Eboot here and run it from the game menu

It will be called EBOOT.PBP do not rename it from this

Just Tried That It Still Says The Game Could Not Be Started Any Other Ideas???

just tried that still the same am i right in saying when i go to the game/mem card the program comes up as PSPtm Update ver x.yz and the icon is like 2 arrows going around????

naa its 100% 2.71 from dark alex but it wont install anyway as u know ive checked and its still 2.60 i dont knw wat im doing wrong but its doin my head now as i have followed all the instructions!
