Despite EA Origin (http://www.edge-online.com/filter/all/tags/2453) head David DeMartini recently pouring scorn on the hefty discounts available in Steam sales, EA has launched a digital sale of its own, with one EA game discounted by almost 90 per cent.
Rock Paper Shotgun spotted the sale, which discounts Dragon Age: Origins by 87.5 per cent, to just £5. Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, Darksiders and Battlefield Bad Company 2 have all had their prices reduced by 75 per cent.
Less than two weeks ago DeMartini said that Steam sales "cheapen your intellectual property (http://www.edge-online.com/news/e3-2012-ea-origin-boss-says-steam-sales-cheapen-intellectual-property). Occasionally there will be things that are on sale [on Origin with] a discount - just don't look for 75 per cent off, going-out-of-business sales."
