I thought i would write up a little tutorial for 3.02OE.
I will try to explain it in details for both 1.50 and 2.71se users,

You will need these files:
1- 302OE get it here (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=46711)
2- 1.5 update get it here (http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/4)
3- 3.02 update get it here (http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/937)
4- usb cable
5- PSP

Downlaod all of these files.

extract the 302OE ziped file, you will get the following files as shown in the following image:

http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/5240/1em8.png

Now for 1.50 users copy the two folders oeupdmaker and oeupdmaker% to /PSP/GAME/ so it will look like this image: http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/7523/2bv0.png

If you are using 2.71 SE copy the two folders to the GAME150

Rename the 1.50 update you downloaded earlier to 150 then rename the 3.02 update you downloaded earlier and rename it to 302.Just like the image shows: http://img75.imageshack.us/img75/1157/3ht1.png

After renaming put them on your PSP inside the "oeupdmaker" folder, then disconnect your PSP from the computer. It should look like this: http://img344.imageshack.us/img344/8672/4yn6.png

Run the oeupdmaker like you run any homerew, it will start creating the DATA.DXAR file, it will take less than 5 minutes to generate it, this process involves NO flashing, so 100% safe, no need to have your PSP plugged in the charger

Wait till it completely finish and it will exit by itself.

Now connect your PSP to the pc again, you will find the DATA.DXAR file that we made inside the oeupdmaker folder, It will look like this: http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/9007/5nl4.png

Now we are going to begin flashing 3.02

This process requires flashing and like anything that flashes your PSP there is always a chance of BRICKING.

Aslong as you have done everthing correct you should be fine.

Now we will use the other two folders we extracted earlier, 302oeflasher and 302oeflasher% ,
You will need to copy these two to GAME folder on your PSP "in 1.50". And in the GAME150 folder if you are using 2.71 SE(Any version) Look at the image: http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/6231/6jw9.png

Next move the DATA.DXAR file that we made earlier to "302oeflasher" folder, then disconnect your PSP from the pc, make sure the battery is charged above 75% and plug it into your charger. Look at the image: http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/7427/7lw9.png

Now go to the flasher from you PSP and run it, it will show you a warning message, just press X and it will start, the process may take 5 minutes,

DON’T turn off the psp or remove the Memory stick or pull out the battery during the process.

When it will finish it will ask you to restart your psp manually, here turn off the PSP then turn it on, and you have 3.02OE.

After you finish you can just delete the folders 302oeflasher, 302oeflasher%, oeupdmaker, oeupdmaker% with all their contents.

Enjoy

Every time I go to the flasher it will say that the battery has to be at least 75%, it's at 100% and the power cable is plugged in. The screen will then go black for about 10sec and then it will go to the xmb.

I followed the above process to a "T". What gives? I'm on fw 1.5 btw

Ok. Nevermind. I by-passed that message by pressing the triangle and L buttons at the same time. In the processing of flashing at this time.

Flash successful. Right ON.

u use the OEB updater...OE-B has the PSX emulator unlocked i believe

it does, you just have to use the popstation to turn your backup file (from ripping the cd) to an eboot.pbp file so the psp can read it. less complicated than it sounds

December 30th, 2006, 04:21
though the trouble for some would be the lack of the keys.bin and the base.pbp files...ar well..there's always ready made ones...lol

razorak, I recall you hated being at 2.71, but now I'm glad you have reached 3.02 OE.

nar...2.71 with hen-d was still better than 2.6 with gta.

tho after a while people become unappreciative of what they have and want more, greed.

But i'm happy to say that having waited for barely 6 months, i've saved myself a decent bit of money. (i bought my psp in june)

btw i didn't really hate being at 2.71 but rather having a ta-082 :). Hen-D was the best substitute i could have, this i must admit. And it's all thanks to DA.

Patience usually pays off =)

edit: Oh, you were ta-082 too. been away for too long...busy studying for a rather long period of time. I just downgraded yesterday and today i'm gonna pass my fren all the necessary files for the downgrade and updating to 3.02 OE-B since his PC is just so laggy and he's a lazy, impatient person >.<

I've spent over 20 minutes creating the DXAR file. Is it really supposed to be less than 5 minutes? If so, I'm not sure what is wrong, it's currently "Extracting and packing 3.02 firmware...

Maybe you forgot put the 150.pbp file inside the X:\PSP\GAME150\oeupdmaker folder (where X is the letter of your memory stick root)?

xg917
January 6th, 2007, 20:49
mostlikely, but if he forgot then it wouldve said cannot FIND 150.pbp file...

johni
January 6th, 2007, 20:56

johni
January 6th, 2007, 21:19
done...sry.

and i've tried like 5 times and now had done it.
it has created data.dxar

but when i've tried to flash it (i've run 3.02 OE-A Firmware install) all i get its screen where it says the battery must be at least 75% charged then blankscreen appears and it returns to XBM.

whats wrong now?:(

johni
January 6th, 2007, 21:29
i've looked under
system information->battery information
...it says 82% and the charger is on.
is the measurement wrong or all i have to do is trying and trying (thats what helped with previous problem:/)

thx for help though
