Ok dudes... non TA-082 PSP (1.5 factory) . . need help

Right, Ive got my mate's PSP here.. 2.60 non ta-082, he got it pre-owned and its downgradable.
I have a 3.02oe psp myself.. have downgraded before etc etc.
I was just wondering if someone could tell me the steps to get his on the go for homebrew (for Popstation) , I know I have to downgrade it to 1.5 , but then what? What do i upgrade to after that, or can I got straight to special edition firmwares?

Downgrade to 1.5 then update to 3.02OE

hold up . . . do i need a copy of gta lcs ??

edit : sh!t even . . i need to update to 2.71 first THEN 1.5 , seeing I dont have a copy o GTA ?

Yeh if you dont have a copy you need to update to 2.71 then downgrade
