Aserto has just released a little application for use on your Windows PC to help organize your PSX EBOOTs on your memory stick into a naming format you wish to give it, rather than the default title. If you don't want all your games to be called "hot shots golf" then this may be just the right application for you. Being able to change the GameID of a PSP compatible PSX game has always been present, but until now required the use of a hex editor which not only requires expert knowledge but a reasonable amount of time. With this application you can change the GameID of your PSX titles quickly and with little fuss.

I was just looking for something like this, so this fixes the save problem then? Never mind I think this is just for the ID, not what I thought.

Does this also change the name of the save game? i've managed to get all my games to have a seperate save file, but they all say 'hot shots golf 2'

I just tried it with a game, and it didn't change the Game Name, but it did change the GAMEID number.

I don't really care/mind the name of my save Games all being Hot Shots 2, so this really makes things a -lot- easier than opening a Hex Editor and waiting for it to load 500-700MB files :P

I used it, and now I get a 80000004 error. :P Probably had something to do with me changing the game ID. Was I supposed to make it something specific?

i'v been using pspbrew and it works fine to change the title and images. do my saves work like a memory card(all my games in one file) or is it writing over each one(haven't checked yet)?

Just use a hex editor, it doesn't take expert anything as the thread suggests.

Okay, a note to anyone who uses this. BACK UP YOUR GAME FIRST IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. I lost a few hours of play time in FF-VIII because I patched it without knowing what the "Game ID" was.

The Game ID can be, for example, "SCUS00001". If I'm not mistaken, you need to patch a game if you have more than one on your memory stick, so you have one with the ID of "SCUS00001", and another with the ID of "SCUS00002".

The title thing doesn't really work, though.
