PSP Charger question

Is it possible to use the power lead from the PS2 (UK) with the PSP charger, so that it can be plugged into a UK power outlet?
I am just wondering because I am pretty sure I read it somewhere, but I can't remember. lol

I am sorry to sound like a bitch, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking of buying a PSP from my local import shop tomorrow. I would really like to know the answer to this question before I go.
