new release via tinmanx (http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-development-forum-11/t-release-popstation-for-linux-and-intel-mac-os-x-86483.html)

You might need to "chmod 777" the file to run it, but it's been tested for both OS's and works. A PowerPC version might be coming soon, stay tuned.

Basically this allows you to use popstation on a linux and apple computer.

Kramer, why would it be any more or less legal than the Windows version? The windows version uses cygwin.dll so was most likely built with Unix tools anyway.

Or are you referring to the PSX2PSP app which contains Sony copywritten code, which IS illegal to distribute?

bull: i you have a intel mac, you should definately consider parrellels software, you get a 15 day fre trial as well.

an easy safe, self contained windows VM all at th touch of a button!!!

it costs a bit, nearly £50, but i am glad i made the purchase.

I can't accordian boy. Its my dads computer and he limits my access. I wouldnt have the passwords to install it.

A problem with this program though is that there are no programmes that can be used to back up your games to cd images. Which sucks eggs...

bull.

but with parallels, dont you still need to buy the Windows XP software?

anyways a big thanks for this. i have been waiting to upgrade the psp until i was able to find a mac popstation. i presume that this just allows the popstation to run on mac and is not a popstation for mac?

i put it in a folder with popstation and other content. double click and the console opens and i get a bunch of errors!
this is tested right? can someone else confirm that they have this working?

Sorry for digging up a really old thread but has anyone got a converter that will work with PPC or the source to a Linux converter?

So I noticed a few people having trouble using this.
First off you need to change this to an executable. Fire up the terminal (if you don't know where it is hit Apple Key + Space Bar, then type "terminal")
Then cd to the directory you saved it it and type:

chmod 777 popstation
now it will be excutable. From the same terminal type:

./popstation filename.iso
Make sure you have at least base.PBP, KEYS.BIN and the iso in that directory.
If you have PIC0.PNG, PIC1.PNG, and DOCUMENT.DAT it will pick up those and insert them in your EBOOT.PBP as well.
If any of this is confusing check out this link

Now I have a question for who compiled this.. or anyone else who can help.
I don't see that you can add extra arguments such as the compression level, name of the game, and the SCUS# anyone know the flags?
Thanks
