I have just bought a PSP that came with system software version 3.03 and has the TA-082motherboard revision.

From what I can tell this is the latest version and most up to date PSP out, and I realize that it pretty much out of the question for homebrewing, but does anyone know of anything on the horizon for this new wave of systems?

Modchip? Downgradeable?

Thanks for helping this newbie out. I have been out the of the sony scene for sometime and I am back! :) and glad too!

Cannot downgrade or modchip
I'd just trade someone for a downgradeable PSP.

I think he updated.Unless the PSP was second hand. 3.03 is not in the shops yet

My brother said he updated it!

He told me that it was 2.71! I guess at that point it was downgradeable...

I guess what I am trying to ask is the UP modchip that is out still under further development? I know that under the current state it will not work for me... or is there another chip in production. Or should I just wait until the 3.03 system is downgradeable... I would assume this would eventually happen.

That's really my main concern... that the PSP dev scene is not dead yet.

-Firmwares without TA-082 Motherboards Up To 2.80 Can Downgrade.
-Firmwares with a TA-082 Motherboards up to 2.71 Can downgrade.

I Hope That cleared It Up :-)
