I recently bought a PSP last month with the letter code I. It had version 2.60 but no TA-082 motherboard. I know ones that have K are the TA-082 with factory 2.60 firmware.

Nah... Chances are the store upgraded it to 2.81.

BTW: It doesn't make any difference at all whether something is TA-082 anymore.

What about those new TA-086s drifting around somewhere (most probably in Japan)? Would that make a difference?

Why would stores update them when most people buy PSP's thinking they can run free games and homebrew on it?

Im deffinatly sure it was 2.81 and TA-82. True... it doesnt matter if it is or not but what if a TA-82 DG doesnt come out for a long time.

I think sony are playing tricks, the people that work at the sores are no alowed to open duty boxes no matter what it is.

The problem was i was going to DG it for him when he got home but only to find a TA-82 and 2.81.

Thanks for the replies much aprechiated.
