All great for all those TA-082 PSP owners, just steps away to great homebrew on version 3.02 OE-B and 1.50. Now I wish I had a TA-082 machine to try this out because my other 3 are TA-79 or 81s.

I had a 2.82 TA-79, but last week the power button broke, and now, since there isn't a technical maintenance's centrer in Portugal sony is going to give me a new one and possibly will come with the TA-82 3.03 fw.. so i'll have to wait months till a downdater is released.. :(
I'd really like to have dark alex's costum firmware, it's super cool :)
Guess i'll have to wait...

Alright. I just bricked my PSP 2.80 TA-082(really my brother's PSP) this morning @ 12:00am or so...Now this comes out....But I'm not mad.

I actually have a question though. I wanted to know if I buy a new motherboard, will this unbrick my PSP? Cuz the UP doesn't support TA-082. I'm pretty sure it will, but I just want to be extra sure. AGAIN, IF I BUY A NEW MOTHERBOARD(ANY FIRMWARE), WILL MY PSP WORK AGAIN?
Thanks ahead to the people that can answer me.
Peace!

Bricked result happened BEFORE the easy DGer came out.

I heard a lot of successes from the children over at QJ.

Yeah a new motherboard should work if it is a TA-082 because i am unsure if the 079, 081, 082, 086 motherboards use the same parts like wifi so it may not be compatible so make sure it is a 082 and you should be fine but it is so much easier just to get a new psp.

Thanks a lot Anthony! I know it's much easier and less hassle, but the thing is that I don't want to buy another PSP. I know that motherboards(no idea what version motherboards ta-079..ta-082..etc.) cost around $90 on ebay, and I really don't want to buy a new one for $199. Yeah, yeah, I know you guys are going to say just add like another $100 to the $90 and save time, but I really would just like to fix mine.

Hi, just downgrade my ta-082 2.71 to 1.5 then upgrade with DAX OE 3.02A - Upgrade to OE 3.02B and all works fine. But when I tried to run Homebrew like UniversalRemote 1.2 (puted in the PSP/GAME150 folder). It says only goodbye! Wha´s wrong?

Please help!

I downgraded with no problems to 2.71! Chalk it up as another success! Now If I remember right (someone please confirm this for me), I update to 2.71 HEN-D? Then use the 2.71 HEN-D downgrader to 1.5? I probably won't do the 3.02EA/B as of now because I use Location Free on my PSP and its disabled. Any suggestions?

Nope sorry. Read the title it says 2.8 to 2.71. Hang in there and don't upgrade anymore!!! I waited 6 months for this, i'm sure it won't take but a month or so for a 2.81 downgrade. Just remember if you think about buying any fairly new games it will probably require an update.

I personally have a 3.02 OE-B psp as of now, but my friend has a 2.8 TA-082. Now my question is, when I execute the program do I have to run it from the xmb or can I click on the eloader file in the pic folder. Because for whatever reason I have not been able to patch files on his psp and have them run from the xmb. So he has been stuck with running them through the old eloader folder (and yes its the xloader version, jsut cant get patching to work right).

I downgraded my 2.8ta-82 down to 2.71 then to 1.5 then back up to 3.02E-a & to b. My question is that Location Free was cut out of the 3.02E versions and I need it since I use my location free tv a good bit. If I hit the recovery it goes back to fw 1.5. Is there any SAFE way to make recovery go back to 2.71? But then the problem with that is I'd have to downgrade again to 1.5 and back up to the 3.02E versions. I wish DA could of someone gave us a choice during installation to cut out some other options & keep the location free tv.
