PSX Chrono Cross Question

Hello, I was just wondering how Chrono Cross could be playable all the way through. When you switch over from Disk 1 to Disk 2 there is no saving in between the switches it just wants you to insert disk two while still in game play. While there is no Save states of any sort how could this work? I am not actually at this point by the way I was just about to backup my copy onto the PSP and play it at work. If you have any thoughts or comments please tell me. I would love to be playing this amazing game portable!

i have heard it is possible to simply remove the mem stick, install disk 2 and them re insert the mem stick...
but havent tried it...

i think there is also an app to put two .img files into one eboot... but again i dont need it so i dont know where it is

i think there is a way. you finish the first disc on PC with epsxe and then transfer it on psp with CWcheat

Yep that1s the only one that would work. Swapping sticks or combining images doesn't.
