um, there should be a place in the menu that says run program at recovery/update i think. and the update should be the 1.50 eboot, so i guess u can click that to recover to 1.50 but..... i prolly dont know what i am talking about.. i have never recovered before.. sorry but u have to wait until some1 else replys

When the recovery mode pops up. Goto the top and enable USB. connect your usb to your psp. now, download the 1.5 update and put it in x:/psp/game/recovery but label it as update. Now, that should put you back on 1.5. Now try the 3.03 oe-a update again.

so it should be X:/psp/game/recovery/update/eboot.pbp?

No, it should be X:/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/UPDATE.PBP with UPDATE.PBP as the renamed firmware 1.5 eboot. Do not overwrite the EBOOT.PBP file in the RECOVERY folder as this is needed to run the downgrader.

I freaked one time when I sent a bad opening_plugin.rco to flash0 and when I turn my machine on it froze before it came to the bootsound. But the recovery mode has saved me and has done so many times now.

Use the Brick Fixer on KlmSoftware.net

It will restore your PSP to 3.02 OE-A.

This will only work if you can still access the RECOVERY console

xg917

January 6th, 2007, 04:29
ok i kno that, but did u unbrick your psp yet?

use the recovery, it works
use toggle usb and plug your psp in your computer and check if you have these files

X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\decryptprx.prx
X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\eboot.pbp
X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\extprxs.pbp
X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\libpsardumper.prx
X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\UPDATE.PBP (Official 1.50 firmware update file)

if you have all those files, run program at psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp and you should be at 1.50 in no time

lol everyone must make their own data.dxar files lol everyone should have learned this from 2.71 SE, and 3.0 OE, and so forth lol

BTW USE THE RECOVERY IS 3.02 OE-A in PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP YOU MUST RUN THE EBOOT NOT THE UPDATE! (MAKE SURE U HAVE THE UPDATA.PBP ALSO 1.5 FW) LOOK AT THE POST BY xg917

I didn't make the data.dxar when I updated to 3.02OEA (I used an easy installer), and from there to 3.03OEB where I used someone elses data.dxar Neither bricked.

xg917
January 6th, 2007, 19:11

is there any hombrew for 3.03 psp firmware and where is the best place to download demos for psp

Shrygue
January 6th, 2007, 19:20
You can not run homebrew on official version 3.03. You will have to wait for a downgrader to do that and there isn't on coming anytime. As for demos for PSP you can get those on the DCEmu news page (http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/)in the PSP downloads section.

Okay. Download 3.02 OE A and drag the recovery folder (with UPDATE.PBP) to your game folder on your psp. Turn on your psp while holding R trigger. Select the run game at PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP
and install.... voila 1.5.

i cant even get into the recovery menu and it sux.

SO much for relaying on being able to fix it. I think my gameboot and font togetehr were to big for 3.03-oe and it corrupted the flash. YAAAAY, time to find a new motherboard

PlagueMusic
