Hi there boys and girls. Does anyone know how to use the memory card file from one ps1 game for another?

I started using popstation when it first came out so I had the same memory card file for Alundra and Final Fantasy 7 (saved under hot shots golf). Now 303oe is here and I can compress the games and they now have the correct game ID's and saves with PSX2PSP.

So, i want to use my old memory card saves for the new compressed isos. understand?

can i change the game ids in the memory card files with a hex editor? has anyone tried this yet? if i just move the old files into the new folder it gives me an error when starting the game.

this is not that big of a deal, i just don't feel like starting a new game on these if i can help it. thanks

no one has any insight on this? i thought people would have had the same problem as me with their old savegames.

Also, would it be possible to use the memory card file of say, ePSXe for the PC?
