Hello there,

I figured this part of the forums was probably the best place to ask. Does anybody know a way of viewing 3D models from Playstation games? (In this instance, Final Fantasy VIII on PS1.)

Is there some kind of software that would allow me to view/single out the 3D models of monsters/characters using either the original discs or ISO images?

I am making a website and require some decent quality images of the lone 3D models, and having access to them directly would save me the trouble of taking screenshots and cutting them out of the pictures.

Any help would be great, thanks.

I believe your first step would be to extract all the files from the Final Fantasy VIII image. Asides from that, I don't know. You can always try Google.

A google search brought up this:

http://www.zophar.net/utilities/psxutil.html

5 rows down is a tool for viewing FF7 models, maybe it works for FF8 too.
