I've been playing Final Fantasy Tactics on my PSP for a while, then all of a sudden I get an Error 80000004.

(I got 3.02oe-b)

Any solutions?

If this helps I was removing some Devhook files but it didn't delete properly prior to this happening o.o

do any other games work for u?

January 6th, 2007, 22:28
Umm... I don't have any other games atm, I'll try getting some off my friends.

January 6th, 2007, 22:48
well i had the same problem before but heres how i managed to get around that o and im running 3.03 OE-A: 1 get the hsg2 KEYS.bin and place it the desired game folder, make sure the game folder is in GAME and not GAME150 or GAME303, than goto the xmb menue select ur game by pressing triangle and than say start.

if that doesent work try puttin hsg2 on the memstick as well in GAME start that first than exit than start the desired psx game.

thses 2 ways helped me get it working for me best of luck.

That didn't work either.

Have any of you used X-Flash? Firmware Modification can affect POPS, in particular Gameboots and large fonts.

January 7th, 2007, 01:21
yea i get the same error now.. i think 3.03 is cursed

i am going to try other games.

did u use x-flasher or anything?

edit: lol Apocalyptic980c, we asked at the same time :P

yea i used x-flash with game boots and fonts, but i took everything off and tried running my game but it still didnt work. i am going to check if any of my other games work

January 7th, 2007, 01:30
I havn't used X-Flash or anything. The only reason I would of Flashed my PSP's stuff is with down/upgrading.

January 7th, 2007, 01:32
so, this happened out of nowhere?

January 7th, 2007, 01:33
what the ffff.... it was only that one game that didnt work? mine works, it was just that one game

January 7th, 2007, 01:43
Yeah this happened outta nowhere, hotshots 2 and final fantasy tactics have the same problem =\

January 7th, 2007, 01:50

January 7th, 2007, 02:29
I tried taking the game out and putting it back ... didn't work either T_T

January 7th, 2007, 02:38

January 7th, 2007, 04:07
Check in recovery to see if anything doesnt look right, or try restoring default settings or try reconverting ur game.... weird

January 7th, 2007, 04:20
ya try doing what vision does. o and btw i also keep getting that error several times in a row for ff7 before it actualy starts i have a way of forcing machines to do stuff/off topic i once forced Who wants to be a millioniare onto my old windows 95 with a 24 mb hard drive when it required a 32 mbhd and it worked fine! lol no system crash or anything lol

January 8th, 2007, 01:47
What sort of things would be weird in recovery o_o

I think they look fine to me.

January 9th, 2007, 23:09
try ripping your disc again, with alcholol 120 i think thats the name of the program, there u can choose the ripping speed. ultraISO i think rips at highest speed possible, wich can damage the iso, i think that your game is damaged

I had the same problem - 80000004 error when loading PSX games
They did work fine - but for the second time when i resumed the emulator from standby, it froze and corrupted my memory stick. I recovered the data, but now I can't load PSX games (apart from official Sony ones)
I've tried:
1) Re--installing 3.03 OE-A (+A' + B)
2) Recovering to 1.5, then installing 3.03 OE-A (+A' + B)
3) Deleting previous save data for the games
4) Re-converting the PSX game
5) Re-formatting the memory card using Windows
6) Re-formatting the memory card using the PSP
7) Pressing X lots of times during and after the warning screen (I heard that works)

Nothing has worked, and I still can't play my PSX games (other than my official Crash Bandicoot). It was working fine before, so I can't understand why it's suddenly not working.
Perhaps this is a bug that can be fixed by Dark_AleX?

okay I installed 3.10a over 3.03c and the upgrade horked a couple things.

1) My web browser always blue-screened, I fixed it by resetting the PSP to defaults.

2) Raiden Project would always give me a 80000004 error. I tried upgrading to 3.10a' and using the popsloader plugins 3.00 through 3.11 and they all gave me the error. I tried deleting the game from MSPD and re-copying it from the PC, still no go. I then updated the icons/pics for the eboot on PC and deleted the save game from the MSPD then re-copied it again and it works now. Not sure what fixed it, but I would bet it was deleting the save file.

Note I also have Silent Hill, R-Type Delta (pal), Final Fantasy IX (disc 1,2,3) and Klonoa on the same MSPD, and none of them have had this problem. Thankfully as I would hate to delete my disc 3 save for FF9.

Change the pops loader for the psx game, it worked for me on dino crisis 2, thats where i was getting the error...
