View Full Version : Registrations open for "AMD Brasil Game Jam"

The Brasil Game Show (BGS), the Largest Game Show of Latin America, opened registrations for the "AMD Brasil Game Jam". The competition is an initiative of the Event to promote and stimulate the development of Electronic Games in the country.

Sponsored by AMD, manufacturer of processors and graphic boards, a leader in technological innovation, AMD Brasil Game Jam will be held at BGS 2012, which will take place October 11th to 14th at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.

In a Reality Show environment, students will have 48 hours to develop a game, the theme of which will only be released at the beginning of the competition. Each team will be comprised of three students from the same institution. The participants, from different Brazilian Universities, will have to develop a game or a playable demo version by the end of the development marathon, which will begin at 8 pm on the 11th, first day of the Event, and finish at 8 pm on October 13 th.

The games created will be made available during the final day of the Brasil Game Show, so visitors of the Fair can vote and elect the best game.

Each of the three members of the winning team will win an AMD A8 Processor and an AMD Radeon HD 7850 Video Board, offered by the competition's sponsor.

Those interested should buy the Passport, which costs BRL240,00 and gives access to the four days of the Event - including the first day, which is exclusive for journalists, professionals and guests - and they will also receive an official Brasil Game Show shirt.
