View Full Version : Perhaps a standard design for PSX ICONS/BACKGROUNDS.

I designed some covers for the POPSTATION but using the original stuff, it feels good to see the actual cover of the game.
Some of us fell in love with cover art for games we liked etc so its nice to see the actual cover of the game + you get a preview what the game looks like. Small icon shows front cover and wallpaper shows the rear cover.

I personally think this is the best. I made templates too.
Perhaps this is the closest to a standard style. I cant stand stretched images.
Nothing is stretched here.

These are actual .PNG's that can be used in your image.

Note how I cropped the rear cover to make for the wide PSP screen yet moved the barcode/info to the side. So nothing is missing from the rear of the ps1 game cover. I also removed the E rating and replaced it with PSX logo in the small ICON. Note the second example.

Here is another style if you need to remove the barcode alltoghether and have a bigger game title.
There is no need for text to show the title on the psp menu, we can read it from the icon.

Everything was done using front and back scan of the original game covers.

What do you peeps think?

Opinions welcome...
