Just bought a second, spare PSP off ebay. It's on 1,5 firmware.

I'm wondering if there's a way to see what MB it has in. I want to go up to OE-B with this one but read if the PSP has a ta-082 it won't work.

Would it brick it attempting the upgrade?

Well you check behind the UMD drive

you can go to OE-B with any motherboard without it bricking (hopefully)

Still don't know about the MB. Had a good look inside the umd drive but didn't really want to take it to pieces :)

on the top right corner, there is little text in gold, it says IC1003. if you see that, then it is a TA-082 MB
if there is no text, then it is not a 082
