ZF Electronics UK (http://www.cherry.co.uk/cid/index.htm) has produced a one-off Cherry G80-3000 keyboard for an upcoming auction in aid of the BBCs Children in Need.
The computer keyboard has special limited edition laser-prints, done by Delvin Electronics (http://www.devlin.co.uk/), of Pudsey playing football, flying a biplane and generally having fun.
This is not the first time the company has produced one-off and limited edition keyboards for special events - there has even been a Klingon keyboard.
The Pudsey keyboard is a special version of the popular Cherry G80-3000 series, a fully mechanical, high-quality keyboard tested to over 50 million operations per key. This is the third version of the Pudsey keyboard to be produced, following great successes in both 2009 and 2010.
ZF Electronics UKs managing director, Michael Groom commented: Its always a genuine pleasure to support this very special BBC event in aid of children and young people who are disadvantaged. We sincerely hope that the auction goes on to raise a substantial amount of money for the charity - of course, high value, genuine offers for this unique product as a 'buy it now' will always be welcome to ensure we achieve the most.
