Hi Guys
Great forum.
I have a problem that i think is simple to fix.
I have just bought a psp and its default settings are that whn i press "x" it goes back and when i press "o" it selects!!
Shouldnt they be the other way around?
Does anyone no how to fix this?
Cheers

If you are on Any OE firmware you can alter this in the Registry Hacks on the Recovery Menu.

Are you planning on getting it to a custom firmware because you are really missing out on a helluva lot of homebrew (unless you are using the eLoader)?
I would suggest downgrading to 1.5 via the tiff exploit here (http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/psp-downgraders-11365.html)
Then upgrading to 3.03OE-C from here (http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1030)
To do this you will need this (http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/4)(renamed as 150.PBP)
and this (http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/958)(renamed as 303.PBP)
Follow the readme to the letter and you'll be fine.

dude you should get that custom firmweare its the cats pajamas. i mean realy you can do anything at all, play 100% functional ps1 games on the psp, run umd iso's without the use of devhook(BACK THEM UP YOUR SELF DO NOT ILLLEGALY DOWNLOAD!) and do millions of other kool stuff in the way of flashin youg your psp and completely customize it to your own personal waants :P:P plus this is also the easiset way to do the button swap!

How do i get into the registry on non modded psp?
Does the fact that the buttons are opposite signify a foreign PSP?

just update to custom firmaware. 2.0 is the lost firmware, it has no use whatsoever.
it is neither fully UMD, or homebrew compatible....

use the tiff loader to downgrade to 1.50 using the following method:
run the tiff eloader.
use PSPsetX to trick your firmware number to 1.00.
ext the eloader
then run the 1.50 update from the XMB.

then update to 3.03OE-C from your new 1.50 PSP.

enjoy, full homebrew support, full UMD support, and [almost] full PSone game support.

But if you insist on staying then try restoring factory settings. But I'm with the other guys. Downgrade to 1.5 and then upgrade to 3.03OE-C Its the golden firmware. And its not hard to do. You don't have to buy a chip or anything. And like mentioned before you can't run new umds that are released.

With The O button bein the Select key, usually means japanese or in that sort of region. i have 2 jap psp's and mine are the same but i prefur it this way. if u upgrade to 3.03 OE u can go in2 the recovery menu and swop it from O to X if u like?
