View Full Version : Bricked?

I just used the Easy Downloader provided in the stickied topics to go from 2.711 to 1.5.
The installation appeared to go smoothly, however, my PSP doesn't seem to be working.

I can turn the power on and the green light appears but the screen remains totally black. IS this what a "bricked" PSP does? Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks.

Yeh thats a brick alright. Only way to fix is modchip or replaccement mobo or warranty or send to Sony

did you check to see if your psp had a ta-82 motherboard?

Doesnt matter a TA-082 can be downgraded anyway

Don't use the "easy" downgrader, it doesn't mention waiting 30 seconds before turning on your PSP after the downgrading is finished. This could result in a brick.

Actually, it mattered while he was downgrading.

My guess is he didn't check for TA-082, and downgraded with an old downgrader that doesn't check for TA-082.

Edit:

Nah, couldn't result in a brick at all... That's probably not why he bricked.

ebay would be where i would look first.

also i bet you can find some retailers if you google it.

just make sure that they are flashed with 2.71 or lower just because it's less hastle to downgrade.
