I recently acquired an 80 GB iPod, and I was wondering what its capabilities for playing homebrew games are. I know that iBoy is around nowadays, but I have not yet tried it. What is the possibility of having an NES emu on the iPod? I know this is probably out of the question, but I honestly know nothing about the iPod's homebrew game capabilities or specs.

Thanks...

Unfortunatly, Apple does not like (just like any other company) the use of unsigned code in their products, the Ipod can run Linux but only older models or older firmwares on the Ipod. I think that you should wait and go for RockBox, when someone finds a way to load it. I think that a NES emulator whould be possible but the controls whould be a fair bit dodgy.

Just wait a while longer. I'm sure the guys at www.rockbox.org will have something for you soon.

rockDoom is very good. Full sound and controls are tolerable. Unfortunately, again, you'll have to wait for rockbox to be ported.
