The Windows version of the installer, see this site -

http://www.ipodwizard.net/showthread.php?t=15153

The Linux version of the installer is here -

The MPEG plugin info is located here. (Looks like the 1st Gen Nano is pretty decent with the plugin) -

Sorry guys, it looks like there is no auto installer for the Mac, as the Mac formatted iPod file system is incompatible with rockbox.

Have fun!

***I take no responsibility for any mess ups or botched installs. I am only providing you the links, not a tutorial or promises.***

Side note, you should be able to recover your iPod firmware if it is messed up using the iPod updater (included on the iPod software disk that came with your iPod) and choosing restore. It worked when I (partially)bricked my Nano (1st gen).

I reccomend simply following all the proper instructions listed on http://www.rockbox.org/

The plugin is not a seperate download and if you download rockbox from their site you get the absolute newest version.

The auto installer downloads the newest build for you and installs it automatically. This is for people who don't have any experience with an install of rockbox or just want to install it quickly (or can't get it to install correctly). Tis for those new to iPod modding.

Sorry, I didn't read the mpeg player info correctly then.
