How do I upgrade firmware from 1.00 to 1.50 then to latest Dark Alex Firmware?

I need an idiots guide to go from 1.00 to 1.50 and then beyond (backing up 1.00 as well) - its about time I played all the Playstation games stuck in the loft rather than sell for nothing on ebay.

Any help would be appreciated.

well go to dl.qj.net

then download 3.10 OE-A'

and the 1.5 (where ever region u r) and thats it.

then open psp put the 1.5 update in game folder.

update....... make sure that ac is plugged in.

the use the custom firmware and upgrade VERY EASY.

do the same as what i told you to do above when installing the custom firmware.

upgrade using a UMD with 1.5 on it or get the update from t'internet. next, get the 1.5 and 3.10 eboots from dl.qj.net (they are under the subcategory "firmwares"). next get the 3.10 OE download and follow the readme. to play ps1 games you need a file called keys .bin. you'll find it if you look around a bit on a site that rhymes with psp smacks.

To get straight to the latest custom firmware from version 1.00:

1 - Get the 1.50 update HERE (http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/4).

2 - After installing 1.50, download custom firmware 3.10 OE-A from HERE (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=51865). Make sure to read the readme document carefully.

3 - If you want, when you have installed, get the 3.10 OE-A' (also knows as OE-A2) from HERE (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=52137).

Search the forums for "Die Hard Trilogy". It is a set of tools for backing up your 1.00 firmware. You can always use it to restore your firmware from 1.50. After that, just upgrade to 1.50 and on to 3.10 OE-A.

Or you could just get the 1.50 - 1.00 downgrader from HERE (http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/614).
