go to venezuela and buy a mod chip like around 50 - 60 dollars, and they install it for you, and buy all the burned games they have at the stands, they are like 50 cents each game, lmaoooo... but im not joking about this

^ ^ IM GOIN TO VENEZULA lol...but how could that be possible. The PSPs CPU isnt fast enough to run a N64 Emu let alone a PS2 emu.

i was talkin bout ps2, not psp. bring ur ps2 to venezuela, go to a mall there, in the place where they have the stands, they can install the mod chip for you right there. lmao. ight, yea imma go to my country next time wit my ps2 cuz i didnt kno that they do that stuff till i went last summer. my cuzin had a modded ps1 n stacks of burned games!! i was like, woahh.. :p

^ ^ ahhh ok. well that would be cool...however, i dont think im gonna fly 10 hours to mod my ps2 lol...would be cool though. and @jkkdark the same thing would be like LETS RUN PSP ON MY GBC lol

I'd say its possible because the psp has ps2 graphics but only problem need R3 & L2 & R2 . so tekken 5 would work "I know T5DR is out for psp"

no its not. the ps2 is more powerful therefore it wont work. a weaker system cannot emulate a more powerful system!!

there is a saturn emu been attempted, and if that's going to work (i don't think it will) it will push the psp to its EXTREME limits. No way could it handle a playstation2

Even there isn't a Sega CD emulator.. you guys like dreams :)
Didn't you see the homebrew PSX emulator on the PSP? They were very very slow and poor graphics and sound, and PSX emulation is a lot easier than Saturn :eek:

The only plus side to 'emulating' a PS2 on the PSP is that the chipsets are of similar architecture. However the PSP has the R4000 MIPS CPU and a PS2 has a R5900 MIPS CPU.

The only other plus side to this is the fact that the PS2 runs at only 299 MHz as opposed to the PSP's potential 333 MHz.

However, the PS2 has significantly more video processing power, which is needed for 3d games and thats the killer right there. The PSP cannot handle half of what the PS2 is capable of. Maybe, just maybe, 2d games can be emulated, but I 1)Wouldn't count on it and 2)Wouldn't find that particularly useful; what makes the PS2 grand is the huge library of great 3d titles.

true if someone was that bothered about getting a ps2 emu working at 0.1fps then it could happen, but really what would be the point in it :rolleyes:

Really anyone wanting a PS2-Portable should take some electrical engineering classes and miniaturize their PS2. Its been done before and can be done again.
