Transferring VMS to VMU

Hi, I know you can get games for the VMU as VMS files.

But is there anyway to transfer them to VMU without the browser? Since I don't use modem connections and a BBA is far too expensive.

Could you somehow burn them to a self boot disc then transfer them?
