The PC is home to many of the greatest ever emulators and homebrew, i remember the day when Ultrahle was released and Nintendo 64 emulation was a reality, also the release of Bleem the playstation emulator, i remember the scramble when sites tried their best to crack Bleem and of course i remember when Sony took the makers of Bleem to court.

For me though the Emulator Corn was and still is my fave emulator of all time.

Hmm... Favorite emulator. Well, right now, my order is:

1. Supermodel 0.3 WIP
2. PCSX2
3. NullDC
4. Model 2 Emulator
5. SSF

I'll only put this 5, or else I'll be here until tomorrow...

As much as I wanted to play always that time, I cannot cause it was really tough on our status to buy our own PC. But, I remember that I stayed at the house of my childhood friend to play Wrestlefest. It was fun though!

As of now, I'd probably have to say my favorite is the optional build of lr-snes9x. Previously, it was the most accurate SNES emulator that RetroPie had to offer but the frame rate would drop whenever it had to render intensive Mode 7 graphics or transparencies, and this is with overclocking on a Pi 3. I'm not sure what changes were pushed recently, but its overall performance has been near perfect as of late.
I'll also give props to byuu for his work on higan in striving to emulate the original SNES hardware as accurately as possible, right down to the precise clock cycles. Granted, it's incredibly hardware intensive, but the engineering that goes into it is something to be admired.
