Can you not get a copy of GTA LSC unpatched (rent or borrow) and just use 3.03 downgrader

no that will be to difficult. and besides ive downgraded a 2.71 before i dont why its not happenning now. also shouldnt a 2.71downgrader be more safer than a 3.03 downgrader

Hmm, Not sure the 3.03 downgrader is very stable and i have not heard of any bricks from this as yet as it checks everything is in place before it downgrades your psp.

have you tried pressin the "down" button immediatly after entering the photo menu? That is a problem I used to have when I was downgrading 2.71s myself... for some reason pressing down made it work lol.... or just keep trying and trying and trying!

format settings, take battery out for 60 secs and try again, double check files are in the right place etc

If you have a 32MB memory stick and haven't tried doing it yet, try putting the downgrader on that and start from there. It seem to work more often for me than when I tried executing it from a 1GB stick.

dont worry i found an easier way. i used the homebrew enabler then used the generic downgrader instead of the old fashioned downgrader

It looks like you've got plenty of help here. But if you still need help just drop me by an Instant Message and I'll help you downgrade.
