Oblivion gets a huge delay

Supposedly, the PSP version of Oblivion was supposed to come out next month. But, considering the complete lack of updates on this highly anticipated game, we were skeptical, to say the least. Looks like the game's been pushed back ... all the way to September. GameStop is reporting the ship date as 9/3, a delay as massive as the game itself. Hopefully, this will go a long way in improving its quality.

Didn't the Publisher 2K / Bethesda flat out deny the existance of such a Port comming to the PSP™

I seem to remember reading about a denial of this Game being in production the fist time it got reported on back in Nov/Dec '06?!

well i dont know if that is a real screenshot or not, but it certainly looks like PSP graphics (tiny models with huge pixels). The textures seem to be lower quality and the specular highlights are gone. Over all it looks pretty cool though

As for the dungeon crawler... Well we all figured that the massive world of oblivion wouldnt be in our 1.5 gig umd's. I had hoped that it would just be a smaller world and you would do quests for the blades or something. Dungeon Crawler are neat, but the open ended game play of oblivion is what makes the game amazing.

OT: Well there is some good news for us oblivion fans.. Even though this title is being pushed back, the first real oblivion expansion (knights of the 9 wasnt an expansion in my opinion) is coming out this months end for PC.

i heard this to, from one of my video game magazines. the magazine had the same screenshot to. they said that making it small like that (just dongeons) would allow it to be small enough to play on the PSP.

I'm very skeptical about this game. How can a massive game which oozes quality be scaled down for the PSP and still be good....I'll follow its progress but the lack of actual content to look at is very suspect too. I'll wait and see :)
