online in uk with us ps3

hi just seeing if anyone else having problems in the uk with an us ps3 going online as at first useing fake us address i could get on the store but couldnt find any players to play online with

As far as i know, it will always try to connect to the US servers if you have a US PS3. If you had a JAP PS3 it would try and connect to the JAP servers and so on.

I have heard a few stories online about people importing their PS3's from other countries but they have had no problems.

Do you get a particular error message as ive heard you have to assign certain DNS address and not the ones for your router.

DNS Primary:4.2.2.2
DNS Secondary: 4.2.2.3

If not you could also try assigning your PS3 a static ip address and opening the ports:

TCP: 80, 443, 5223

UDP: 3478, 3479, 3658 (voice chat), 4658

Also try enabling DMZ.
