Have you ever wanted to play a game on your PSP but it didn’t fit on your memory stick? Or maybe you just use a lot of ISOs and don’t always want to wait to transfer the ISO to your memory stick? Well, we now have a very useful plugin for 3.10 OE-A that allows you to play ISOs directly from your PC via USB (of course, of games you legally own).

Now these "USBhostfs" plugins aren’t anything new, in fact, you may remember it from the DevHook days as it was used in many DevHook mods. It was even used with some of the first ISO loaders such as Dax ZISO! The most recent of these was in SE-C by developer “TheBuzzer” and that’s where this plugin gets its roots. This is simply an small unoffical update of “The Buzzer’s” plugin for SE-C.

INSTALLATION:

Put the MS_ROOT files from the archive onto your PSProot (X:\)
Go into 3.10 OE-A recovery (Hold R on cold bootup)
Choose Plugins –>
Enable usbhostfs.prx in both VSH and GAME
Enable buzzusbvsh.prx in VSH
Choose Back
Choose Advanced –>
Choose ‘Toggle USB (flash0)’
*Warning - you MUST do this next part correctly, or you are likely to BREAK your PSP*
On your PC, copy the file ‘vshctrl.prx’ from the ‘Flash0\kn’ folder and paste it onto your PSP’s Flash0 in the folder ‘X:\kn\’. (where X:\ is FLASH0 of your PSP)
Run usbhost (or usblink etc) on your PC
Exit from PSP recovery
Now to use you can hold square and it will switch between usb and memorystick. (To make ‘memory stick’ refresh itself, go to the save data section than go back to memory stick.)
PC Installation:

Setup a memory stick folder structure anywhere on your PSP. (As long as you have the USBHostfs in the same folder as your ISO folder you should be ok)
Now put an ISO in the ISO folder and extract the files from the usbhostfs_PC_Win_1.5 download to where your ISO folder is at run the the usbhostfs.exe
You should now see a cmd prompt.
Press Square on your PSP until either the cmd prompt says connected or If you don’t already have the PC driver for then Windows will prompt you to install the driver now.
If you need to install the driver then browse to the folder manually, if not skip this step.
After the driver is installed you should be connected and able to browse to your game menu and see your ISOs!

I have used via FW 3.10 oe a' and my intel macbook running promoteus.
It worked very well for me.

I used a high speed usb cable from my Nikon D200 camera also.

I thought it was cool way to demo alot of my games, emu roms, etc and then after I decided what I want... I kept the real winners on my memory stick.
