Here is the teamsushi.org entry for the PxP homebrew compo.

It is a Guitar Hero type game. It is compatible with any levels from www.freetar.net if they are MP3s. To play with the default keymap, use down on the d-pad to strum, and hold L [] X O R at the appropriate times. Start to pause. Select for screenshot.

Install the song packs in the song directory under the game.

- 3D environment for stage, with custom cameras

- crashes after song plays when leaving summary screen

SnoopKatt, which songs? I have never had trouble with Guitaroo Man, which is why it is in the zip.

Yeah! I was thinking about doing so right now when I was looking at the pictures...They look so...simple. I was thinking on doing something more "a la" Guitar Hero,more gothic or rocker.But I'll wait to see yours,if I like it I'll stay with yours and forget about mine.[lazyness forever]

small (Less MB mp3 file) songs work (Gitaroo Man, Kirby, Surfing on the blocks), but bigger songs dont seem to work

EDIT: Seems that even some of the smaller songs don't work

Hardhat only just finished this in time for the compo deadline, so there are things he didnt get to iron out.


He is currently working on fixing the bugs in the game as well as adding more effects and content to it.

Indeed that sounds like a bad problem. I really hope you continue to work on this game, HardHat, because it is fantastic and I can't wait to see what you can do with this. Just awesome, and I haven't even played it yet!

It works on 3.10OEA and 3.10OE-A' without any modification.

you might need to put it in the game150 folder though.

Good news: I've found the crash bug on started the included songs. I had a bad build, and I did a clean build now, and all of the songs play. I'll post tonight.

Still crashes at the end of the song though occasionally, and never gets to the high score screen for now. It'll get there. I blame my MP3 library glue code for some of the issues. It seems a little flakey. I have some better glue code that I'll add later this week if it works better.

Im running into some problems....I replace the images. But then the game wont load! I kept the same file type and dimensions and everything!
