Last month, a representative of developer Conspiracy Entertainment confirmed for GameSpot that its upcoming PlayStation Portable game Pocket Pool would feature the license of the Girls Gone Wild video series. Meanwhile, Eidos, the game's publisher, continued to issue press releases for the game with no mention of the attention-grabbing license.

This week the publisher said that contrary to the Conspiracy representative's assertion, Pocket Pool will not feature the Girls Gone Wild license.

"While I can confirm that the Girls Gone Wild license was in consideration for Pocket Pool, an agreement was not formally signed," an Eidos representative told GameSpot. "The coverage you have seen was premature."

Pocket Pool lets gamers rack 'em up against comely models to unlock video clips and image galleries. The game is rated M for Mature for sexual themes and partial nudity and is expected to be released next month.
