whats the firmware version for jap psp 1.0, can you download the old firmware and downgrade the US From 1.5 to 1.0 where can you get the old firmware for download or a least find a way to hack the US firmware to run HOMEBREW CODE. Nobody want to spen $300 for a Jap PSP 1.0 with no English, on the menu and Jap Model don't play US Movies.

Just hold on a bit longer. As you post this there are people working on getting hb to run on our PSP's. In the meantime find the post where wraggster shows you how to play tetris on your PSP via Wipeout and enjoy the madness, hehe. Try their Tic Tac Toe.

I would give you the URL but my PSP is far away... Soooo far. *tries to reac for it* meh... At least I tried.

Nem the author of the Hello World demo has posted how to downgrade but its so involved and technical that you woukld risk blowing your PSP up in the process, so until an easy way of downgrading comes to light i wont bother.

Hi.

Do you have a link where it's posted ?
And i really hope someone can rip the firmware and post it as a EBOOT.PBP file.

Why not just rip Jap firm then change it to version1.6 in the header so it just piecefully updates to it?

I think that that is the problem , that the firmware cant be ripped.
Im just a big fool to update to 1.5 :(

i dont care to be honest, im happy i upgraded to 1.5 and nobody should be worried about doing it anyways, because 80% of PSP owners will have 1.5 so when/if they make the emulators they will figure out how to run them on a 1.5 PSP ... you'll see!

and then what happens when 2.0 comes out with the euro systems.

well if there is another firmware update then i think i will hesitate before doing it, especially if it means there could be issues with compatibility with homebrew stuff, what can they upgrade next anyways?
