hi,

i've obtained a MAME ROM of the game "Elevator Action" with these files:

ba3.11
ea-ic1.bin
ea-ic2.bin
ea-ic3.bin
ea-ic4.bin
ea-ic5.bin
ea-ic6.bin
ea-ic7.bin
ea-ic8.bin
ea-ic54.bin
ea-ic55.bin
ea-ic64.bin
ea-ic65.bin
ea-ic66.bin
ea-ic67.bin
ea-ic68.bin
ea-ic69.bin
ea-ic70.bin
ea-ic71.bin
eb16.22

my question, which would be the best MAME emulator for PSP to play this game? do the ROMs need to be converted?

any help would be nice.

thanks,

coo

First of all: MAME emulators read roms from zipped archives, so there's no need to extract the archive like you did, they all look the same: a bunch of .bin files.
To see if a certain ROM is working or not, there's pretty much nothing left to do but fire up MAME4ALLPSP and give it a try, unless you know how to handle clrmame.

AFAIK the only roms that need to be converted are those for CPS1/2PSP but only as such as the emu needs a special cache file in addition to the original rom.zip

Also, there are lots of complists (game compatability lists) on the net that show you titles that have been confirmed to work with MAME emus for PSP.
