I just got a PSP and have decided on GBA emulation.

Friend of mine told me I'd have to downgrade for that to happen..

But will it brick my PSP? If so, what can I do?
Is it worth it to downgrade (and would that make PSP vurnerable to viruses etc?)

Thanks,
Jetkon

a bricked psp is a psp that wont turn on. what firmware do you have?

A bricked PSP is one that turns on, but stays at a black screen.

You CAN'T get viruses. That's just bullshit spewed out of Sony's mouths.

Downgrading is safe (as long as you have all the right files in the right places). Also, after you do, you should upgrade to a custom firmware.
