Flashing the PSP too many times?

I read somewhere else that since the internal flash memory of the PSP is a certain type of memory, you can only fully flash it 88 times before it breaks down. Is this true? And how would flashing part of the memory, for instance a gameboot or a font affect the health of the memory?

That's a wierd number, 88. I really don't think you need to worry. I haven't heard of someone saying they bricked it doing a normal downgrade or something.

Nope, that is definatly WRONG, i have flashed soo soo many times switching between themes and random stuff.

Well I believe its a full format and flash not just flashing a couple files.

Still, 88 is a weird number. It is much greater than that... I believe in the thousands.
