Hey,

I've read some posts and FAQs that say you hold R-trigger while powering on to enter recovery mode, but it doesn't do anything on mine, is there something more needs doing?

i have the 3.11 firmware (official  ) and am trying to change/review the kernel

can anyone help me?

thanks,

You have to have custom firmware to use recovery mode.

ah okay, thanks, that sucks.

well instead, can anyone tell me where the kernel is?

see PSP's aren't really my game. This is my brothers, and i'm in charge of hacking and cracking it...

3.11 is 'un-hackable' at the moment.

Whatever you do, DONT UPGRADE.

Just hope that there is a loophole in 3.11 that the devs can use.

sorry man.

A decrypter is NOT a downgrader... It runs on a homebrew capable firmware.

i'm not looking to downgrade it, i just want some capabilities till a OE of a higher build comes out

can you point me to the kernel?

Look at what people have posted.

You cannot have OE not even any features of OE

sorry, when i say 'capabilities', i dont mean capabilities of OE, just some room to 'hack' until i can upgrade to a higher OE build than my current official.

Either im getting this horrendously, or im just not articulating well.

Put it this way.

You have a 3.11 in this moment in time that PSP CANNOT I repeat CANNOT do anything.

Anything below 3.03 is fine as it can be downgraded but a 3.11 cannot be.

It cannot run homebrew nor can it have any features of OE.

To update to OE you need to be on a firmware that allowes homebrew code to be run. 3.30 doesnt allow homebrew code to be run
