Hi, I just bought my psp today at Walmart and I was unlucky enough to get one with firmware 2.60 and the mother board TA-082 :( . Is there anyway to downgrade my psp to a 1.5 without bricking my PSP? What are the odds that my PSP would brick while downgrading?? I'd like to have the 3.30 OE-A custom firmware but is there anyway to get that without first downgrading my psp to 1.5??

If I do brick my psp do you think walmart would give me another one because I bought the 2 year replacement plan for an extra $20.

Please help me. Thanks alot for your time.

Yes - update to 2.80 and use the 2.80 downgrader (http://www.noobz.eu/joomla/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=88888895&func=fileinfo&id=8) or update to 3.03 and use the gta lcs based 3.03 downgrader (http://www.noobz.eu/joomla/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=88888895&func=fileinfo&id=12) (easier than the 2.8 tiff one but u need liberty city stories unpatched)

With the 2.8 downgrader im not too sure, altho i think it is safe now. The 3.03 downgrader has never bricked (as far as i know) except for people who decide to pull out the battery while it is downgrading (idiots....).

You could update to 2.71 SE firmware (google it if u like), although it is always better to update to OE firmwares from 1.5
