Because 1.0 PSPs are so hard to find, im putting the word out. I am seeking a PSP with 1.0 firmware so i can begin porting some emulators that i have in mind to the PSP.

If you know of someone selling or are selling a PSP with 1.0 firmware yourself please get intouch with me.

cheers!

i really cannot imagine somebody would sell their 1.0 PSPs now, since PSP Homebrew is on FIRE ... if anybody had one and they were not interested in the emulation scene then you would get much more for it on eBay, just advertise it as a 1.0 PSP and it will run emulators and sell the console for much more than they would for any other PSP.

judging by what 1timeuser says then i hope someone does read this and consider selling it you ... :D

I think you can use the emulator pspe for testing psp homebrewn software. Good luck trying to find a 1.0, your best bet is probably ebay.

pspe is slowly getting more and more powerfull. I recomend you at least attempt to develop with it until you get a real psp 1.0.

do you live in the UK or US?

Hey!

I saw this post and just had to throw my 2cents in.

Lantus -

by sheer luck I found a used japanese PSP 1.0 a couple of days ago and bought it so I could try out the emulators.

Before I was lucky enough to find a used one local I did some looking on the net and found that www.ncsx.com has new PSP firmware 1.0 units in stock.

The regular 1000 edition units go for $270.00 US funds & the value pack (1000k) units go for $320.00 US funds.

I have used their site many a time and have found them to be completely reliable.

I have seen quite a few used PSP units pop up in my area. I will keep checking around to see if I can come across another used PSP 1.0 if the ones on NCSX's site are too expensive for you.

I am the same beldandy561 that has an account on E-bay, incase you want to look up my reliability.

If I can come accross one used I will have it put on hold until I can contact you and make sure you still need one.

Best of luck

Beldandy561

hey lantus, teamxtender found an "easter egg" in the US PSP security. hopefully that means that you will be able to run homebrew on a US PSP.

Maybe you could ask them for info on it, since you are awesome (and did a great job on the x-box) maybe they would tell you about it before releasing it to the public.

Good luck!

i live in australia but will fit the bill for any S&H charges of course

appreciate that Beldandy561

as for developing for PSPE - im really not interested in that at this time. Theres always broken functionality in emulators and you end up pulling your hair out wondering whether it was your code or the emu's. its quite painful
