can som1 plz help me with dvd controller?

right i bought my ps3 today... everything works fine until i get to the dvd controller
i can not get it to pair with the ps3

ive done everything its told me to do..

start the pair.. hold down start and enter until screen changes

all i get is after 10 seconds a thing say "u hav been disconnected for access board" or somthing like tht

can som1 help me

ps3 online help is usless so im hopin som1 here can shed some light

Have u tried restarting the ps3? i know it sounds stupid but youd be surprised.
do it from the switch at the back, not the touch button or ps button.
also, try using it away from direct sunlight, that was the problem with mine...

thanks for tht advise but it turned out to b a faultly controller.. i returned it to tescos got a new one and tht one paired within 2 seconds of starting lol
