My friend just got a FW 1.5 PSP (older mb, so thats not an issue)..and hes looking to upload to the best custom firmware for playing PS games. Can somebody list the basic steps that you have to undergo to get to that point (and whats the best final FW for this purpose?)? Thanks for any help..I'd typically look it all up but I'd rather not blow it for my friend. Thanks

3.40oea is where its at.

Search for the custom firmware release in the psp news section (i believe its still on the front page)

it comes with full install instructions ;)

I Agree with Zion 3.40 OE-A Is awesome but if you go with 3.03 OE-C It would still be a major change from 1.5

I recommend 3.40 OE-A. It has the best POPS.

And I can go directly from this installer (as in I don't have to update to 3.xx Custom Firmware first?)? Thanks!
