Hey guys, I'm on 1.5 FW right now (on a TA-082 MOBO) and I want to upgrade to 3.40 OE-A so I can put custom icons and such on my PSP, can someone please walk me through upgrading? When ever I download the upgrade I don't get it in a zipped folder or anything, so can you please help me?

And if that doesn't help, here is the 3.40 OE-A easy installer here:

WOW, thanks Cloudhunter, that was very, very easy.... anyone else thinking about upgrading should defininitly use this. But I do have 1 huge question, now whenever I try to open my emulators (DGEN, NesterJ, and Snes9xTYL o.4.2) I get a message that says "This game could not be started. (8002014C)." WTF is wrong, and how can I fix it?

Go into recovery mode, then set Game Folder Homebrew to 1.50 ;)

If you don't know how to get into recovery mode, here is how you do it...

Turn off your PSP fully, by holding up your power switch until your PSP turns off.

Then turn it on, but hold down the R trigger.

You should now be in recovery mode; go to configuration.

Then press "Game folder homebrew (currently 3.40)" and it should change to 1.50.

Done! All your 1.50 homebrew should now run from /PSP/GAME.

I just wanted to say that the post by CloudHunter fixed my problem right away. If you are having this problem (8002014c) when running homebrew, give this a try.

I actually upgraded two PSP's, one had this problem, one didn't. I'm not sure how that happened, but it did.

Hope this helps others with this problem (8002014c).
