Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will forego a single-player campaign to focus on multiplayer-only gameplay, PopCap has confirmed.
A spin-off of PopCap's popular tower defense series and revealed at E3 in June (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/412320/ea-reveals-plants-vs-zombies-garden-warfare-for-xbox-one-first-screens-and-trailer/), Garden Warfare is a third-person shooter headed "exclusively first" to Xbox 360 and Xbox One in spring 2014, followed by PC.

Creative director Justin Wiebe said, "We definitely want to build on the game once it's launched. We're definitely taking a cue from Plants vs Zombies 2. Using DLC and new content updates, we want to keep players engaged in the long haul."
The Xbox One version will retail at $39.99, with the Xbox 360 and PC versions promised to be $10 cheaper.
The Xbox One version will, however, feature an exclusive Boss mode (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/425563/videos-plants-vs-zombies-garden-warfare-boss-mode-announced/)which lets you control Dr. Zomboss or Crazy Dave, and will use Kinect or SmartGlass to give players a top-down view of the battlefield, allowing them to use abilities like health drops, revive stations and artillery strikes.
