I'm currently on my way to buying a Dreamcast. I haven't had one of these systems for years and never forgave myself for trading it in for a PS2. :(

*cries*

Anyhoo, I was just wondering if I would need to chip or mod it in order to run homebrew, applications or most importantly, to run games region free?.

I've heard talk about a boot disk but as far as all this goes I'm a grade A newbie.

Thanks for you time.

To run homebrew/Apps on a Dreamcast you do NOT need to mod anything. To run region free you will need a boot disk that you can get here: http://dreamcast.dcemu.co.uk/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,8
