The latest OE firmware is 3.40 OE, right? I was wondering if, along with homebrew, I could also run commercial games that require sony's 3.40 firmware with the OE firmware. Because that would be sex.

Yes it runs 3.40fw UMDS.

That is one of the main advantages of open edition firmware.

popstation rocks, u get 2 play the games u actually wanna play instead of the 1s stingey sony make avaliable, or if ur in europe bein able 2 play psx games at all!! (unless u create an american/jap account)
