OK, here we go
http://www.m17n.org/linux-sh/dreamcast/

Linux on Dreamcast
A Beginners Guide

http://www.fivemouse.com/dclinux.html

http://www.linuxdevices.com/articles/AT7466555948.html

and http://linuxdc.sourceforge.net/

For NetBSD just use the search in the page, a lot of info is compiled about.

http://www.netbsd.org

With this you wouldn't have any problem approaching to Linux in Dreamcast.
Good Luck

Sure , you will need a Keyboard and a Mouse in case of using XWindow. Also the keybd is very usefull when running emulators in dc.

Don't wanna start a whole other topic, but i was just wondering can you save code you write in DCLinux to VMU? Is there any way of saving code apart from the RAM or coders cable to PC.

Thanks.

i think you can save things to whatever path you want, and /pc/ and /vmu/ should both be valid paths.

as for DClinux, its more of a technical thing than an actual usable product. in theory you could have your own programs on it, but the normal image only comes with a few programs, none of which run fullspeed.

Alright i am going to change this topic again to sorry you can go on after my question. Is NetBSD any better and what can you do with it.

So, if you want to access to PC filesystem and the tools for compiling and such, what you need is a BroadBand Adapter. It's valid for both, LinuxDC and NetBSD.

One more thing , for Dreamcast NetBSD 2.0 or 2.1 you'll need at least the keyboard plugged in the DC.

There's a Live CD for Dreamcast, at Mekanaizer's DevSpot , http://mekadevspot.info/ you can get all info you need , also here as well :D

Rui Paulo has a Nero-image available, I think so there's one CDI too. IN this FORUM the info is cool: http://mekadevspot.info/forum/viewforum.php?id=10
