ya well i got a bit of questions, but i don't want to be offtopic,so my first question would have to be what exactly is homebrew... sorry im gettin a psp monday... n want to get it to play ps1 games

Well, first of all homebrew is programs for your PSP not made Sony. In order to run these special programs on your PSP you must have a certain firmware or operating system on your PSP. 1.5 firmware version is needed to install the firmware to play ps1/PSX games. To get to 1.5 you must downgrade, and you need to have a certain firmware version to do so. My best idea right now to downgrade is buy a copy of Lumines 1)not 2) because there is an exploit that is being worked that will allow you to downgrade from any firmware. Any other questions?

1.WRONG!, hombrew means made-home programs.

2.WRONG!, can't you use eLoader to run hombrews? Because eLoaders are not OS or Versions, its a program that will let you run hombrews.

3.WRONG!, can't you just install any custom firmware from 2.71-se?

You can also buy a ps3, to play psx games... lol

4.WRONG!, can't you just buy a hombrew ready psp? Downgrade is an alternative only if you have a psp. For people without psp, they should buy a 1.5 one.

ok well... i have that code inside the UMD... is there any way to downgrade except thru GTA LCS?

Gta is the onley thing that works right know for 303 but i think you should wait til they make a lumines downgrader.

I just got a psp and did the downgrade to upgrade to 3.40 OE-A and was wondering is there a program or emulator out there that does dos emulation theres an old game i would like to play and was wondering if it would work?

Is it possible through any custom firmware to hook the psp up to a display? Say through USB?

I have recently upgraded my psp to 3.40oe-a and it was working fine. I could run the new games released recently. But now i couldn't run any other older games. Does that mean i can not go back to 1.5? Please somebody help me
